Police are appealing for witnesses after a report of a man acting suspiciously on a bus travelling between Lincoln and Skegness.

Officers are investigating an incident which took place on the number 56 service between 4.30pm and 5.20pm on Tuesday 20 January. It is understood the bus was travelling towards Skegness at the time.

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed they have already spoken to a number of passengers who were on board, but are now urging anyone else who may have information to come forward.

Following a call to the force’s Control Room, the bus was stopped and a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence. He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who was travelling on the bus during that time and has not yet spoken to police, or anyone who may have information which could assist the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating officer by emailing paige.thompson2@lincs.police.uk.
